Things Are Happening!

Expansion, sales, upcoming festivals, some nice articles...
Hi All,
Wow! What a crazy few months it has been! We have so much going on and it is all very exciting.
I'll try and cover everything here and keep you all up to date!
Well we have a beautiful 6 month old puppy called Beau in the cellar door.
She is a flat-coated retriever and is a bit of a whirling dervish of energy right now with a beautiful happy nature. She has been receiving a lot of attention and is very much loved. It's hard to get a photo of her as she is constantly moving and they all seem to come out as a black blur but here is one from a month or so ago.
We have of course received our TQUAL Grant from the federal government which is just amazing. We have started building and things are moving along very quickly! We can now walk around and see exactly where our new kitchen, Barrel Room Cafe and deck will go. We can't wait to get it open and have everyone out on the deck enjoying the view with a glass of wine and a beautiful traditional Italian wood-fired pizza or homemade gourmet pie.
We have been busily organising a new festival which will take place at Harvest time over the Easter Long Weekend - Vintage in the Valley. Taking place over 6 West Tamar Valley vineyards the festival should be just brilliant with lots of Tamar Valley wine, local produce, live music, games, activities and fun. There'll be a hop on - hop off bus service and it will just be so much fun. Definitely come down and check it out!
Coming up soon is the Taste Festival in Hobart and this year we are taking part. It goes from 28th December 2011 - 3rd January 2012 and will be just fabulous (especially now that we will be there!). Come and see us.
Talking about festivals we have just recently had the Launceston Criterion coinciding with BOFA (The Tasmanian Breath of Fresh Air Film Festival), they screened the brilliant Chasing Legends about the 2009 le Tour de France and the efforts of HTC Columbia to gain the Green Jersey for Mark Cavendish. The film was absolutely brilliant and a blast from the past for us. It really gave a great insight into what it is like to be in Le Tour. Micheal did a Q&A after one of the screenings of the film and the questions from the audience were really great. Exciting stuff!
We have had some lovely articles written about us of late. Cycling Tips did a wonderful "Where Are They Now?" story on Micheal which was just so well researched and written and we've had such a great response from people because of it. Also Country Collections did a Tassie feature in it's December edition in which Vélo is featured which is lovely! Have a read below. In October ABC Delicious Magazine did a brilliant feature on Tasmania in which we were also featured. Pick up a copy or check out a shorter version of it online.
To celebrate the Silly Season we are having a 15% off sale online and at the Cellar Door until January 3rd 2012. It's a great time to stock up so get in quick! What could be better than some beautiful cool climate wines matched with a sumptuous feast? We have a few Silly Season Suggestions, have...
Oysters with our 2006 Dominique Sparkling Brut,
Prawns with our 2010 Pinot Gris,
Salmon with our 2010 Riesling,
Crayfish with our 2010 Chardonnay,
