Tasmanian Wine Show 2012, Cafe Update & More...

Well the results of the 2012 Tasmanian Wine Show are in and we are very pleased to tell you that we received a gold for our beautiful 2010 Riesling and silvers for our 2006 Dominique Sparkling Brut and our 2008 Willo's Reserve Pinot Noir.  We think a few mixed cases are definitely in order!

Our new Cellar Door and Barrel Room Cafe is coming right along and it is so exciting to look out the window and see it coming together.  We can walk around in the skeleton of it now and really get a good idea of the finished product.  You'll all have to come and have some beautiful woodfired pizzas, gourmet pies and seasonal local produce along with Micheal's micro-brewed beers and of course some vino!  To give you an idea, here is a photo of the building coming along, and there are more on our facebook page which we update regularly.

You can see where the big windows will be and where the doorway out onto the big deck will be.  Exciting!

We recently sold out of our 2009 Late Harvest Riesling and our 2008 Willo's Reserve Shiraz and we've released our 2009 Willo's Reserve Shiraz which Micheal reckons is his best one yet!

We went to Taste Festival in Hobart for the first time over the New Year's period which was just brilliant and we are looking forward to Festivale in February which is always fantastic.  If you haven't been to Festivale in Launceston before you should seriously consider coming down for it, it is really a mile in front of other food and wine festivals.
